The Brand
Calico Creative was created as a fresh take on what marketing should look like in today’s small business climate.
If you ask someone their definition of marketing, chances are their answer will differ from everyone else’s. Marketing is a fluid, interesting concept of the business world, and while we all may define it differently, it is always a necessity. However, the necessities of a large corporation will greatly differ from the needs of a smaller, family-owned business, and from this idea, Calico Creative was born.
Our mission is to celebrate brands for what they are and do what is needed to see them succeed. While some businesses may require a large-scale ad campaign, others may just want to increase their social media reach or post a weekly blog on their website. This is where our ideals of flexibility and accommodation come into play. There are no requirements or restrictions, minimums or must-haves. We are here to work with your small business on what you need to improve upon in order to get to where you’re trying to go, no matter the extent.

The Backbone
Meet Brooke Bartholf, Calico Creative’s founder.
Upon graduating from the University of Alabama with a Public Relations degree, Brooke dove into the corporate world of marketing. While she learned a lot about the industry and the ins and outs of business development, her true passions emerged through individual, creative projects. Whether it was writing blogs, crafting website copy, posting on social media accounts, or creating graphics, she realized that her professional calling was that of a creative. Brooke enjoys the nuances of learning about individual brands and producing content that will help push businesses forward in ways they have not yet dabbled in. Every business has a voice, brand story, and mission, and she works hard every day to get them there.
Currently residing in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, Brooke spends her free time on the water, beach cruising around town, and living her best life with friends and family - an iced latte in hand.
